Matthew Horn Ehrhard, President

Matthew came to Chicago in 1987 to pursue his dreams to learn, preserve and construct great architecture in Chicago. In 1993, he founded Hewitt Horn Inc. to provide construction services with the highest level of detail and care.

In a city set apart for its wonderful environments, Matthew sought to honor great architecture with dedication and knowledge. Matthew’s close personal connection to Chicago began with admiration for his great grandfather, Benjamin Marshall, architect and developer of some of Chicago’s most iconic buildings. This passion led him to strive to become a part of Chicago’s architectural fabric.

Matthew is a graduate of Lake Forest College and earned a Masters of Architecture from the University of Illinois at Chicago. He has vast experience in the design and construction of “ground up” single family homes, multiple unit projects and commercial spaces. He has also served as a consultant for many investment groups in the acquisition, design and construction of multiple properties.
